About Us About UsNadine Marshall (BA, MBA)Founder & Sponsor Nadine creates programs and projects that engage people in living with greater heart and awareness. The more we take that opportunity, the more enriched, harmonious and wondrous our experience of life becomes. Prior to creating the Inspired Heart Fund, Nadine co-founded KindActs (renamed Kindness Foundation), along with Brock Tully and a very enthusiastic team. Starting with a local random acts of kindness campaign in 1998; the belief in the powerful rippling effect of kindness; and the vision of a kinder world, one act at a time, the organization’s impact and successes are now being felt on a global scale. One of its feature programs, the Coin-spiracy, which Nadine co-created with Gail Smit, has already reached schools and communities in over 45 countries. Nadine has a BA in Philosophy, MBA and over 20 years experience facilitating and developing programs in the educational communications and personal & professional fields. What Inspired the Creation of this FundThis fund was in part created as a tribute to the heart- its tremendous transformative power and wisdom – as well as a resource to support those feeling called by the heart to take action in the community. Having personally experienced numerous points in my life where I was faced with a choice between the perfectly crafted, reasonable scenarios of my mind and the less than obvious and practical, yet powerful, compelling urges of the heart, I learned along the way that, while there may not be a right or wrong decision, one tended to lead to a greater sense of aliveness and harmony. As soon as I made the choice to listen and follow my heart, the inner turmoil just stopped. All went blissfully quiet, yet everything felt vibrantly alive. I felt a renewed love for my life and oneness with everything. On hearing of the issues that plague our society today, I can’t help but wonder if many, perhaps all, in essence, stem from a disconnection from our heart. When we lose touch with our heart, we literally feel out of touch with everything and everyone around us. We feel estranged as we have become a stranger to our own selves. Often there is a sense of emptiness and restlessness, a lack of purpose and worth. And ultimately when we lose our sense of worth or value, it becomes easier to treat things as worthless, easier not to care, easier to harm, easier to destroy... But when we reconnect with our hearts, that sense of aloneness shifts to an experience of our oneness. Research is confirming what we have known intuitively for ages, which is that the heart is like a universal conductor. Much like a conductor of an orchestra, who brings independent artists together to create a masterpiece of beauty and harmony, the heart brings into synch and alignment systems within our body that were previously working independently of each other. And as a result, we experience a greater perspective, think more clearly, work at peak efficiency, feel more balance and harmony in our lives. We have more energy, and feel more joy because the very spark of life has been rekindled. Some have described it as a sense of bliss, a feeling of falling in love… but this time we have fallen in love with life itself. | ||||||
